About our house

Our traditional stone house is situated in the quiet village of Lairoux surrounded by country lanes and fields and yet is only a 15 minute drive to the lively beach town of La Faute sur Mer.

There are an abundance of restaurants and bars here and it is right next to L’Aiguillon which is the mussel producing capital of France.

Our village has a great little bar/restaurant which serves moules/frites on a Friday evening – it also does a wonderful 3 course Sunday lunch.

The cathedral town of Luçon is a short drive away and you will find some nice boutique shops and restaurants here. There is also a twice weekly market here on a Wednesday and a Saturday where you can buy all your fresh local produce.

Our house has four bedrooms, two with double beds and two twin-bedded rooms. There is a family bathroom with bath, over bath shower and toilet and a separate shower room and another toilet.

There are two barbecues for your use, one in the back garden and another on the front terrace.

Reviews

We had a great one week holiday staying at this lovely comfortable spacious house. It suited my combined family of 6 adults and two little granddaughters. The pool was secure and safe for the little ones and was enjoyed everyday. Location was peaceful but no distance to beautiful sandy beaches. Plenty of markets locally. Places of interest to visit. Nichola's bar in the village is a fun place to visit and food superb. The house ticked all my boxes and hope to return in the future but for 2 weeks, one week was not enough. Thank you Julie for allowing us to stay in your lovely holiday home

Julie,

I have been meaning to email since June but wanted to say what a lovely holiday we had at your beautiful cottage Le Figuier. It was gorgeous. Thank you. The cottage was splendid, so lovely and the people in local pub were so lovely and helpful.

The kids had a fantastic time (as did we).

Kind Regards,

Rachel
