Welcome to our house in the Vendee.

Our holiday home, Le Pavillon is situated in La Jonchere, a delightfully quiet village in southern Vendée and only a 10-minute drive to glorious safe and sandy beaches at La Tranche sur Mer.

As well as being near fabulous Blue Flag beaches the house benefits from its own private heated swimming pools, perfect for enjoying those long sunny days - the Vendee is the second sunniest area in France with about 2500 hours of sunshine per year!

Getting here:

The Vendee is easily accessible from the UK which makes it ideal for family holidays. Our house is less than an hour’s drive from La Rochelle airport with budget flights from Stansted all year round and from Gatwick in July and August or alternatively fly into Nantes which is approximately an hour’s drive.

If you prefer to travel by ferry the shortest sea crossings from the UK are Calais and Cherbourg, whereas the shortest drive in France is from St Malo (only 3 hours to central Vendee).

The local area and things to do
